The Law Offices of Attorney ABC

Internet Law

This is a new and exciting area of practice. My focus is on advising clients of the legal requirements of Section 255 of the Telecommunications Act (Section 255) and Section 508 of the 1998 Rehabilitation Act Amendments.

Section 508

Accessible technology improves an individual's ability to obtain and use information quickly and easily. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act was enacted to eliminate barriers to information technology for people with disabilities.

Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act requires Federal departments or agencies, when they develop, procure, maintain, or use Electronic and Information Technology (EIT), to ensure that the EIT allows Federal employees with disabilities to have access to information and data that is comparable to the access available to non-disabled Federal employees. Section 508 also requires that individuals with disabilities, who are members of the public seeking information or services from a Federal department or agency, have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to that provided to the public without disabilities.

Bankruptcy

My firm represents individuals and commercial clients in bankruptcy proceedings, at both the state and federal level, that are initiated by either an insolvent individual, or business, or creditors seeking to have the debtor's remaining assets distributed among the creditors and, thereby, discharging the debtor from further obligation or restructuring and reorganizing the insolvent's debt structure.

Family Law/Adoption

My firm handles a full range of Family Law matters including adoption, divorce, separation, premarital agreements, paternity, custody, and support.

Criminal

My firm has extensive experience defending the rights of people arrested and accused of criminal offenses. I handle all types of criminal cases, including minor infractions and misdemeanors and the most serious felony indictments, such as, drunk driving, drug possession, narcotics sales, theft and grand larceny, white collar fraud, embezzlement, sex offenses, arson, and conspiracy.

Personal Injury

My firm represents individuals involved in controversies alleging a wrong or damage to another's person, rights, reputation, or property resulting from events or activities such as automobile accidents, defective products, infliction of emotional distress, intentional misconduct, and negligence.
